Back in Business!

So I finally survived 6weeks. What a nice closure with the stretch of holidays. We managed to kick start a pre wed shoot during this few days and start to catch up on the editing. Will be outstationed from tomorrow but see you guys on email.

NS NS go I must…

Its the time of the year when i have to contribute to the Nation, only this time it would be a super LONG one lasting more than a month. Will respond to emails when i can.

Our first attempt at a music video with the great folks from Wedding Cinematographers Guild. I can’t believe we pulled this off in a week! From scripting to shoot to edit and roll out. Was really tough since Mayad Academy happened just before. Love the kids! Hope you enjoy the video and LIKE it on our FB page below!

Mayad Academy Camero

This is the summary video of the Mayad Academy that was wrapped up in Singapore last week. The video is really humourous! Check out my quick camero in the first part ^^

Chern Yang + Esther NDE

PG: Wansheng (Feldberyl)
LOC: Flutes at the FORT (besides the old fire station)

Chern Yang and Esther are really nice to work with. Chern Yang is the brotherhood type who would go to lengths for friends while Esther is one popular girl! The moment she marched down the aisle with her dad, the crowd simply went crazy with cameras!! (I guessed there were at least 50 cameras in my way!!!).  It was also the first time we had real fireworks!

We were totally excited at this wedding as we had really nices locations and it was our first job with Wansheng, coupled with the post Mayad Academy excitement. Kudos to Wansheng for sharing his experiences and accomodating us. Special mention to Gu Yang from Nanjing who was our guest shooter at church from Mayad Academy. 谢谢你!

Mayad Academy Wrapup

A lovely photo with the Mayad team by WCG members! Pity some of their folks had to bail out early. Kudos to the sponsors Canon and Cathay Photo for supporting our request =) Hmm yes that is Cathay’s cert ^^

http://www.thesteadicamworkshops.com/

I’m so honoured to see our video on the front page of Tiffen Steadicam’s workshop website. Its a Singapore Dream come true. So we are now on CMR Blackbird and Steadicam websites =)

Steven + Chloe SDE

PG: Michael Chan (Expressively Joho)
LOC: Capella Sentosa

This is the 2nd leg of the wedding and a very interesting couple they are. Coming from different countries and meeting and falling in love in Japan. Kinda wonderful tale and we made them this simple video with a bit of a simple storyline. One great thing was we managed to get a very short shoot at the railway track which was flooded with photographers that morning! And yes, Chloe impressed me by ordering sandwiches for us during the dinner. We really appreciated it because we are often so tied up shooting that we have no food till midnight.

Broadcast Asia 2011

What a hectic week it was, and i was lucky to be able to pop by BCA for a day. It was my first trial with my new steadicam rig (camera was way too light for her!). It had been a while since my last practice and I was worried but the moment the vest was on everything was back. I conclude that steadicam operation is like driving, once you learn it its there for life ;)

Kudos to Canon for the XF300 loan and the folks at Cathay photo for letting me mess with all the fun toys they had at the booth!

Khim Nyang + Ee Ling Wed

PG: Alwin (Lightedpixels)
LOC: Jewel Box Mount Faber

We were greeted with an interesting development today, Ee Ling was all dressed up and done at 6am! Well the day still turned out really happening for us, as the gatecrash was sporty (with some water games at the pool). We were petty happy with the holy matrimony location. Its the lawn outside the Sapphire restraurant on Mount Faber and its something nice and green. A pretty sweaty affair for the team but it turned out well.
